NLB Banka starts the initiative "To love and protect the nature" by reducing paper usage

NLB Banka is focused on digitalization of services that affect the reduction of paper usage and environmental protection. Digital platforms play significant role on saving paper that is spent while providing services to customers in the Bank branches, therefore, equipping customers with electronic services such as e-banking and m-banking reduces the use of paper, thus saving trees. As a result, the Bank customers by using electronic services, not only do they save their time by banking electronically, but they also contribute to the protection of the environment. To this end, the Bank will invest in public parks for every new user on our digital platforms.

As part of the "To love and protect the nature" initiative, today the Bank has completed the planting activity of 123 trees in the Velania Memorial Park. Present at this event was a Park Department representative from the Municipality of Prishtina, Mr. Kastriot Muçolli, Mr. Albert Lumezi, President of the Management Board of the Bank and other representatives from the Municipality of Prishtina and NLB Banka.

Mr. Kastriot Muçolli expressed his gratitude for the donation given by the newest friend of the Municipality of Prishtina, NLB Banka. He also said that they hope that other businesses will follow the good example of NLB Banka to contribute by planting trees on our parks.

"We hope to influence awareness to save paper by embracing electronic services through this initiative. For a simple transaction, about 3 paper sheets are spent at the Bank branches, and this is avoided if the transaction is done through digital platforms such as e-banking or m-banking. Therefore, we as a Bank have created the infrastructure and opportunities for our customers to be served through electronic services and at the same time, we will donate to the environment by planting trees on our parks. Today we started with the Memorial Park in the city of Prishtina, and in continuation of this initiative we will donate to other public parks as well. " said z. Lumezi.

NLB Bank will continue to contribute to various activities and projects that affect the improvement of conditions in the environment where we work and live.
